As you close the farm gate at Osdale you can already sense the peacefulness of this place. And then you turn to look at the views.
They make you stop. You feel dwarfed by the vast space – hills at your back and the moorland that stretches before you. And those stresses and demands of life feel slightly lighter already.
You walk into your cottage – if a place can hug you then this is it. Warmth and comfort surround you, calling you to dump your coat, kick off your shoes, cosy up and slow down.
Osdale is owned and run by us, Lucy and Anne. We’re sisters and really good at creating homes where you’ll want to spend time. Places you can unwind and share time with family and friends
We have two cottages, both dog-friendly, each sleeping four. They’re perfect for couples and small groups of family or friends
We’ve enjoyed the peace and tranquillity that the Farmhouse provides. How lovely to spend a whole day lounging around at our home from home.

This old crofter’s cottage sits at the very top of the Osdale track. You’ll feel tucked away here, ready to ease into a slower pace. Sit outside and watch the ever-changing big skies or, in the evenings, listen to the crackle of the wood burner with a good book and a glass of wine.
The surroundings are simply magical. We spent our days gazing out at the vast moorland dotted with sheep and cows. The garden was full of life… It felt like we were in our own private sanctuary.

A converted barn, the Byre’s big picture windows frame the views perfectly. You’ll find yourself pulling up a chair — you could lose hours of your day sat here. But you’ve also got the sociable kitchen and a double-height living room that give a wonderful sense of space and calm. The perfect spot to unwind, cook, read, paint, write or chat.
Osdale is well placed for exploring Skye. You’re only 3 miles from Dunvegan where you’ll find shops, restaurants and cafes. Some of Skye’s finest dining is close by too, including The Three Chimneys and Edinbane Lodge — both family favourites of ours. Skye’s famous landmarks Neist Point, Coral Beach and Dunvegan Castle are a short drive away, and we’re well located for trips further afield to the Cuillin, Uig and Portree.
