Things to know

We strongly recommend you travel by car when you stay at Osdale because of the remote location. Although access is via a farm track, it was upgraded in early 2023 so is easy to navigate.

Our water source is a spring that originates from Macleod’s Tables. The water is safe to drink thanks to the UV filtration system that is in place. It is serviced and tested regularly.

The easiest way to reach the Isle of Skye is via Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye bridge. By car it takes just under 2 hours to reach Kyle from Inverness, and 5 1/2 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh. From Kyle it is another 1 1/4 hours by car to Osdale. The drive cuts across the middle of Skye with stunning scenery to admire along the way, including the Cuillin mountain range.
